Health insurers and contracts

View which insurers we have a contract with and how patient contribution, deductible and reimbursement relate to each other in the Netherlands.

First things first

We treat policyholders of all Dutch health insurers

This does not automatically mean that we have a contract with every health insurer. With a contract we invoice according to the agreements made. Without a contract you can still contact us, but your policy may reimburse a lower amount or impose different conditions.

Your individual check-up

When making an appointment, please provide your health insurer, policy name and location. We actively inform you about our contract status before treatment. Then ask your insurer what amount will be reimbursed for your personal policy.

A group or label name is not always the same as the legal risk bearer or your precise policy. Therefore, please provide the name of your insurer and policy when making an appointment. We actively confirm before treatment whether a contract applies to your insurer.

Basic Insurance 2026

Legal percentages for common prosthetic care

These are national percentages. The final calculation depends on the insured performance, the amount accepted by the insurer, authorization, contracting, your policy and the outstanding deductible.

75%

Fully removable dentures

The basic insurance reimburses 75% of the accepted amount. The statutory patient contribution is 25%.

90%

Implant-supported denture mandible

The basic insurance reimburses 90%. The statutory patient contribution is 10%.

92%

Implant-supported denture maxilla

The basic insurance reimburses 92%. The statutory patient contribution is 8%.

90%

Repair or relining of complete dentures

The basic insurance reimburses 90%. The statutory patient contribution is 10%.

Partial plate and frame prosthesis: for adults these are normally not covered by basic insurance. Additional dental insurance may reimburse part of the costs. Other rules may apply for special dentistry. Always ask for an assessment by your insurer in advance.

Two different amounts

Patient contribution and deductible are not the same

1. Statutory patient contribution

This is the percentage of the care that you pay yourself according to the law. The patient contribution is calculated first.

2. Mandatory deductible

In 2026, the mandatory deductible for adults will be €385. The part that is reimbursed from the basic insurance after the patient contribution can then be offset against your outstanding deductible.

If you have voluntarily opted for a higher deductible, your payment may be higher.

Clear calculation example

Complete dentures with an accepted amount of €1,200

Amount accepted
€1.200
25% statutory patient contribution
€300
Part of basic insurance before deductible
€900
Full outstanding deductible
€385
In this example, payable yourself
€685
In this example paid by insurer
€515

This is a calculation example only, not a quote or reimbursement guarantee. If your deductible has already been fully or partially used, the amount will change.

This is how you avoid surprises

Check these six points before treatment

  1. Cost estimate: request a written cost estimate with treatment codes.
  2. Contract: ask us whether a contract applies to your insurer and practice location.
  3. Policy: have your insurer confirm what percentage or maximum amount your policy will reimburse.
  4. Authorization: check whether prior approval is required.
  5. Patient contribution: ask what statutory contribution applies to your treatment.
  6. Deductible: check how much mandatory and voluntary deductible is still outstanding.

Why we cannot guarantee your final reimbursement

We can provide explanations, make an estimate and confirm our contract status. Only your health insurer can determine the final reimbursement amount based on your policy, deductible already used, authorization and personal situation.

A complete denture, implant-retained removable denture, repair, partial denture and implantological treatment can also be carried out and billed by different healthcare providers. Therefore, always check the healthcare provider's cost estimate and invoice.

Active confirmation for your appointment: this page provides a general overview. Please let us know your insurer and policy; We will inform you personally about our contract status before treatment.
