Do not put up with persistent problems
Looseness can affect eating, speaking and confidence. During an inspection, we examine the fit and see whether adjustment, relining or replacement makes sense. Do not use adhesive to hide a new or sudden problem for a long time without assessment.
Aftercare
After placement, adjustment may be required. A pressure spot, pain, a sharp edge or problems with eating and speaking are reasons to contact us. Do not adjust the prosthesis yourself.
Costs and reimbursement
You will receive a written cost estimate in advance. The final reimbursement depends on your insurance or health insurance fund, policy conditions, contracting, patient contribution, deductible and any prior permission. If in doubt, always ask for written confirmation.
Costs and reimbursement
What is reimbursed in this situation?
The explanation below is general. Your treatment, billing codes and insurance conditions determine the final reimbursement.
Netherlands
The relining of complete dentures is usually 90% reimbursed by basic insurance. You then pay 10% statutory patient contribution and possibly the remaining deductible. For a recently fitted prosthesis, adjustments may be covered by aftercare or warranty.
Different rules apply to a plate or frame prosthesis and reimbursement is often only possible under additional dental insurance.
Belgium
Inspection, adjustment, repair or replacement of the base of a prosthesis each have their own reimbursement conditions in Belgium. The personal share and any additional reimbursement differ per health insurance fund.
When undergoing treatment in the Netherlands, ask in advance whether an inspection or adjustment will be reimbursed and what documents are required.
